TURKEY MEETING
Our multilateral project “ Learning with the 3Cs ” (https://cccerasmus.wixsite.com/learningwiththe3cs) aims to boost pupils' technological and entrepreneurial skills through creativity, communication and collaboration by establishing a virtual digital media company, thereby raising awareness in pupils and the school community about the world of work. The project will be closely integrated into the school curriculum and will involve collaboration with local businesses. In the first year of the project, pupils will make presentations to their European counterparts about their project logos, their school and city adverts and documentary shoots. In the second year of the project, pupils will be involved in developing animations, radio podcasts and their final products for the project fair applying all the necessary procedures.
The first Erasmus+ Project meeting was held in Antalya, Turkey on 16th – 20th October 2018. The school headmaster and all the Turkish teachers welcomed the guests form England, Croatia, Poland and Latvia at school after the welcoming ceremony.
During these four days 18 participants from 5 countries have gone through the project objectives and tasks. Coordinated by the UK the schools were informed about the new framework being developed for PISA to support the teaching and learning of creativity. The Croatian team informed the teachers about the project common website where all the news, reports and products were going to be presented. Besides, having set up the e-Twinning Space all the participant schools were informed how to upload all the project products to the social platform. The draft of the project baseline and the post-evaluation questionnaires have been gone through and agreed to be completed after the Turkey meeting. The logo form England was voted as the Project Common Logo.
All the participants were introduced to the cultural and natural beauties of Antalya with the tours organized throughout these 4 days.
Workshops on Art (Ebru Art) and Rhythm were organized to empower the 3Cs- communication, collaboration and creativity- of the project. Teachers were given a presentation by Mr.Doğacan AKTAŞ who is one of the founder of Antalya Film Crew (https://antalyafilmekibi.com/ ). He highlighted the technical points and the important issues in short movie, documentary and advertisement shooting.
At the first project meeting the partner countries also decided on the next meeting dates. In the evening the partners were given their certificates and their gifts. They were seen off with best wishes.
