As well as creative practices, the co-ordinators also looked at theories of creativity. The UK co-ordinator teaches undergraduate and graduate students at University College London (UCL). In one of her lectures to Masters students on a Creativity module, she talked about this Erasmus project in the context of how creativity is conceived in public education systems.
The key text that the students read beforehand was:.
Thomson, P., Hall, C., Jones, K. and Sefton-Green, J. (2012) The Signature Pedagogies Project: final report. London: Culture, Creativity and Education.
They were asked to read some of the case studies and compare the way creativity was being approached, discussing which setting it was most embedded and sustainable in. We believe this resource could also support schools as they consider ways to embed creativity.
